This class will give attendees an opportunity to explore ethics and why they are important to the insurance industry. Attendees will examine the public perception of our industry and the concept of “licensed professional.” Laws, regulations, morals, and values will be defined and discussed. The relationship between morals, values, and ethics will be evaluated. Uninformed behavior will be defined and explored. Finally, attendees will examine the concept of agent authority through examples and problems of three types of authority: express, implied, and apparent.
